Moen vs Pfister: Best products for the money?

Finding the best faucet can be challenging. Especially in the modern competitive market. With a wide variety of brands, finding the best ones is getting harder and harder. That's why we continue our brand clash series, to help regular users find the best faucet for their kitchen or bathroom. Last week we discussed Delta and Brizo - two sister brands, famous for their innovations and design approach (to see that article click here). Today we will discuss two other brands that can reasonably be called the best: Moen and Pfister.
Moen
Moen is a U.S.-based brand, founded in 1937, and famous for creating one of the first widely recognized single-handle faucets, after its founder Alfred Moen burned his hands using a traditional double-handle faucet.
Since then, a lot has changed, but Moen’s innovative philosophy is still present in their products. Their MotionSense™ technology is a cornerstone of modern Moen faucets. It allows you to control the water flow with a simple wave of the hand. This helps significantly in everyday tasks, reduces germ spread, and helps with reduced water consumption.
Pfister
Pfister (formerly known as Price Pfister) was founded in 1910 in Los Angeles. They have a rich history of manufacturing plumbing fixtures, which even today is seen in their products. They are easy to install and convenient to use, but their main benefit is their price. Pfister is considered one of the best brands on the market in terms of "value for money".
Technology
Both brands strive to provide the best possible products. We already mentioned Moen's MotionSense - but what else have these two brands got?
For example, famous Spot Resist finishes from Moen prevent any kind of buildup from water or fingerprints. Due to the special formula of the finishes, stains just don't stay on the faucet, which makes cleaning a lot easier.
Another technology that impresses a lot is Power Clean - a system that allows you to spray water with 50% more power (compared to faucets without the Power Clean system) without mess. Due to unique engineering in the faucet, it uses less water and makes for a faster and easier cleanup.
Pfister’s answer to Moen’s Spot Resist is their own technology called Spot Defence. An interesting technology they have, called Xtract, is a built-in filter that removes chlorine, lead, mercury, and many other substances that can worsen the taste and quality of water. The filter's capacity is six months, which is a lot, compared to regular filters.
Both brands also have touchless options, which are almost indispensable in everyday kitchen tasks.
Price
Pfister historically is a more accessible brand in terms of prices. We are proud to offer the Pfister Ladera for $131.25, which is honestly a steal. Pfister touchless models are slightly cheaper, starting at around $200.
Pfister Ladera Centerset Bathroom Faucet
The lowest price for a Moen faucet on our website is $140.21 for the Moen Chateau, which is a pretty good deal.
Moen Chateau Chrome Two-Handle Low Arc Kitchen Faucet
Generally speaking, Moen faucets cost more, but for that price you get premium engineering and trendier finishes. Pfister is more a “value for money” option, and probably the strongest in those terms. Choose what is more important for you, price or looks, ultimately the choice boils down to these two parameters. But both brands are a great upgrade for any household.
