Choosing your kitchen faucet can be challenging, and the size of the faucet is another important factor to consider.

Not all kitchen faucets have the same size. They have different heights, spout reach, and hole sizes.

Typically, faucet heights range from 6.5 inches for small faucets up to 20 inches or more for faucets with a high arc. It is important to choose the right faucet height to avoid conflicts with cabinets, shelves, or the window frame.

Standard kitchen faucet heights range from 8 to 15 inches.

To find out the ideal height for your faucet, take into consideration the available height from the countertop to the cabinet or any other limiting object (such as a window frame or shelves). Now subtract 2 to 3 inches from that height. That is the maximum faucet height you can use.

Sink depth is another important variable. Choosing a high-arc faucet for a shallow sink is not advised because it can cause excessive splashing. If you have a deep sink (9-12 inches), you can use the maximum height and install a high-arc faucet. If you have a shallow sink (5-8 inches), it's better to avoid high-arc faucets and choose something smaller.

Another important dimension is spout reach. It is the distance from the faucet base to the point where the water exits. The water stream should land in the center of the sink or on the drain.

These are general recommendations, but every kitchen has its own limitations, so it’s advisable to consult with a professional plumber.
